The successful, proactive management of psychiatric and behavioral disturbances is critical to the success of long term care facilities. To that end, RG specializes in designing interventions and programs that enable facilities to maintain a healthy psychosocial environment. Our programs, services, and documentation are all designed to fit seamlessly into a facility's interdisciplinary structure, and thus enable facilities to admit and properly care for prospective residents that they would otherwise have to decline admission to.

RG's interventions promote a reduction in the use of psychotropic medication, a decrease in the rate of inpatient psychiatric hospitalizations and improved compliance with rehabilitation and medical procedures. Our success is based upon providing only medically-necessary treatment of the highest caliber.

RG Psychological Services was founded by Dr. Richard Juman, a noted authority and lecturer on geriatric issues who has devoted his career to helping this challenging population. Prior to founding RG, Dr. Juman was Senior Psychologist at the largest NYC Health & Hospitals Corporation long term care facility and worked with New York's most chronically-ill geriatric residents. Dr. Juman continues to lecture on a variety of issues pertaining to the elderly. He is a member of the American Psychological Association's Division of Adult Development and Aging, the Gerontology Society of America, and numerous other regional and local organizations involved with the aging process.
